
ROBOTIX in Hawaii
ROBOTIX, the Space-Age, Motorized, Modular Building System, through "isisHawaii", has received the support of STEM Education to enhance
Robotics Education programming in Hawaii. isisHawaii (http://www.isishawaii.org), a Hawaii based non-profit organization, is a mentoring network focused on developing STEM interest among young women and is developing a project called "RoboticsHawaii" (http://www.RoboticsHawaii.com). It was created in response to the need for accessible resources and information about the wide variety of Robotic Programs available. The ultimate goal is to help coordinate and streamline statewide efforts and connect our schools to resources and opportunities throughout Hawaii and beyond.
ROBOTIX Exhibit & Workshop are "Huge Success" at National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Area Convention

The ROBOTICS & THINGS Exhibit Booth was visited by hundreds and hundreds of Science and Science-Related Teachers, School Administration, School Supervisory Personnel and many other interested Educational-oriented programmers. Attendees visiting represented Public, Private and Parochial Elementary, Middle, Junior High, Senior High, Junior College, 4-Year College and University, as well as Home School, Gifted/Talented Programs, Clubs, Groups, Organizations and Associations from all over the United States. The ROBOTIX Workshop was attended by almost 100 Individuals with both a presentation relating to funding and class programming as well as a hands-on team competition by the attendees themselves. The winner of the Raffle for a ROBOTIX 5000 Robot Commander was Edmund Burke, Ph.D., Biological Sciences Instructor at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV.
ROBOTIX Parts Donated to AEROSPACE EDUCATION SERVICES PROGRAM (Educational Representative for NASA)
ROBOTICS & THINGS is pleased to announce its donation of ROBOTIX Parts to the AEROSPACE EDUCATION SERVICES PROGRAM (AESP), Educational Representative of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Their most recent Workshop at NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, CA, was extremely successful. ROBOTICS & THINGS has always been pleased to donate ROBOTIX Parts for programs that are similar to the AESP situation or are a meaningful educational programming opportunity for children.
NASA Uses ROBOTIX in "Let's Talk Robotics" Video
The NASA Video, "Let's Talk Robotics" explores the application of robots to space exploration. Robot terms are explained and robots used on the Space Shuttle are shown. Animated scenes show how robots will be used to assist in the assembly of the International Space Center. Interspersed in the program are classroom scenes of ways in which intermediate and high school students are constructing and learning about robotics. The Video is not quite 15 minutes in length with suggested usage by 5th-12th Grade Levels and Applications for Technology Education and Physical Science.
ROBOTIX Featured in National Science Special
ROBOTIX and the NASA connection had previously been featured in a one half hour PBS special as part of the Newton's Apple television series. The show aired 3 times per season over multiple seasons with much publicized exposure as its inclusion in the Newton's Apple CD-ROM series plus an extensive outreach program to schools nationwide. The Video Format of the show and its lesson plan were developed by Newton's Apple and were distributed to over 55,000 schools reaching approximately 5 million students.
